JASPER ROTARY CLUB
NEWSLETTER
APRIL 2003
LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Fellow Rotarians,
April has many events for the Jasper Rotarians. We have the visit by the
Australian Group Study Exchange Team from April 3-6. We need everyone to
participate in the hospitality for this group. Haig Wright will host a cookout
on April 3rd. Gwaltney and Libbo McCollum are offering their lake house for
Saturday. Many of you have opened your homes to the individual team members and
several have planned our cookout, transportation and activities. Alec Grant, who
heads the committee, has spent many hours planning all of this for our benefit.
Please attend one of the functions with our special guests.
The Egg Hunt is around the corner. We will have a little for everyone. Trudie
Seirafi is the chair for the event and will need our help. This is always a fun
time for all who participate and a way to get to know your fellow Rotarians. We
will have three charities which will benefit from this fundraiser - KID ONE
Transport, ARC of Walker County and the Polio Plus program.
Hope to see you at one of these events and having a good time sharing our time
and talents.
Yours in Service,
Linda Burns

Who Am I?
I am one of the newest members of the Rotary Club of Jasper. In my line of work
I am constantly concerned with "image". I joined Rotary to help make a
difference in the future of Jasper. My wife has "designs" on the future, "too".
Who Am I?
If you know who I am please enter the drawing to win $25 given in your name to
the Jasper Rotary Foundation. Put my name and yours on a strip of paper located
in the back of the meeting room and drop it in the bowl. You have through the
last meeting of the month to enter. A winner will be drawn the first meeting of
each month. You must be present to win the drawing.
