PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

I would like to say "Thank You!" Primarily for your attendance, participation and support of our programs this year, but also for your commitment to our community. The President of the United States in his Address to the Union Speech asked each American to commit to helping our neighbors. You, as Rotarians, are already doing just that. Could you imagine our community if everyone were Rotarians. Of course, that's not 100% possible, but our community would be an entirely different place to live if everyone were committed to Service Above Self.

Our programs for the remainder of the year have been finalized, but I encourage each of you to give great thought to a major project we can undertake next year. Allow yourselves to dream big, because we are limited only by our inabilities to dream. Then share these ideas with Linda Burns, our President-Elect. Rotarians, you are the foundation, let's build something great in Jasper.
Yours in Service
Chad Adams

ROTARIAN OF THE MONTH

This month we would like to congratulate Torrie Grelle, "Rotarian of the Month". Torrie, most recently, served as the coordinator for the Daily Mountain Eagle Shoe Fund. This project is very significant in our community and has been for many years. Her involvement in this project is what we've come to expect from our fellow Rotarians.

Torrie relocated to Jasper five years ago from Texarkana, Texas. Her husband is Kerry Grelle and she is the mother of two children, Colby and Kenzi. Torrie is active in her church where she sings in the choir and teaches 9th grade Sunday school. Additionally, Torrie serves on the AlaCare Hospice Board and the Walker High Transitional Team. She has also done a great job with public relations for our club this year. Torrie is truly a Rotarian we can all be proud of. Congratulations, Torrie!
