JASPER ROTARY CLUB
NEWSLETTER
FEBRUARY 2003

Dear Fellow Rotarians:

I would like to thank all Rotarians who participated in the Job Shadow Day on January 31st. The opportunities for youth to test their interests for a day can result in a major impact in their life direction. One of Rotary’s Four Avenues of Service is Vocational Activities and our participation as an individual and as a club is an important way of serving our community.
The Polio Plus Program fund drive will be completed by the end of this month. On behalf of RI and all the recipients of the polio vaccine, I want to thank you for your generosity and willingness to show as a club that we are concerned for the elimination of a disease that affects us as a world. If you haven’t heard of the trip to the mountains for an extra $10 chance we will have that available to all Rotarians and anyone outside the club who is interested. We have pledged as a club $3,500 and are close to that goal.

Our Easter Egg Hunt day of April 19th at the old Airport has been approved by the county commission. Please think of some new ideas that would improve our attendance, our personal fun, and our success as a fund raiser.

Yours in Service,

Linda Burns
