JASPER ROTARY NEWSLETTER
JANUARY 2003

LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Fellow Rotarians:

I hope that all of our Rotarians have had time to relax and enjoy the holiday season. We have had many good speakers this first half of the year and have increased our attendance and participation. Please keep up the progress.

In the second half of the year it is time to plan for our spring fund-raiser. A lot of members have good ideas to create a bigger and more prosperous activity. Please share those ideas with the Board and Committee chair. We have a few things already completed and this makes an easier beginning.

Also the final contributions for the Polio-Plus campaign will be of special importance. March is the month for us to make our goal as a club. Dr. David Wesley will be continuing his campaign to meet our goal with a special vacation and an opportunity to win.

Yours in Service

Linda Burns

WHO AM I?

I use my skills to help people feel better when they are in a "tight". In my spare time, which is not much, I enjoy playing guitar and "swinging the clubs". My wife and I don't have children yet, but we both love Lucy.

If you know who I am please enter the drawing to win $25 given in your name to the Jasper Rotary Foundation. Put my name and yours on a strip of paper located in the back of the meeting room and drop it in the bowl. You have through the last meeting of the month to enter. A winner will be drawn the first meeting of each month. You must be present to win the drawing.
