Rotary Centennial Park Project:
In late 2003, the Jasper Rotary Club and its Board of Directors made the decision to build a playground in downtown Jasper to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Rotary. The Board applied for a grant from District 6860 and did receive $4,000 to use toward the implementation of the Centennial Park. The space for the park was provided by the City of Jasper, thanks to Mayor Don Goetz. The total cost of the playground equipment, which will be installed in November 2004 was $8,330. Dedication of the park should occur sometime prior to the 100th Anniversary date of February 23, 2005.
